OCLC Online Computer Library Center Inc., US, has announced that it has been named one of IDG's Computerworld Best Places to Work in Information Technology (IT). The Company is ranked 92 in this year's Top 100.
The Best Places to Work in IT list is an annual ranking of the top 100 work environments for technology professionals compiled by IDG's Computerworld magazine. The list is compiled based on a comprehensive questionnaire concerning company offerings in categories such as benefits, diversity, career development, training and retention. Additionally, the magazine conducts extensive surveys of IT workers, whose responses play a significant role in determining the rankings. This year Computerworld surveyed over 27,000 IT workers for the list.
OCLC is a nonprofit library service and research organisation that has provided computer-based cataloging, reference, resource sharing, eContent and preservation services to 54,000 libraries in 109 countries and territories across the globe.
