US SAGE Publishing to publish official journal of the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery - 06 Dec 2018

Academic publisher SAGE Publishing will begin publishing Innovations: Technology and Techniques in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, the official journal of the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery (ISMICS).

Launched by ISMICS as part of a strategic effort to shape the global direction of cardiac surgery, Innovations was the first journal to disseminate information about technological advances leading to less invasive treatment of cardiothoracic and vascular disease. The journal seeks to offer a platform for Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgeons, researchers, and other practitioners to access and contribute to the latest advances in the field of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery.

Published six times a year, the journal delivers research, reviews, manuscripts, case reports, and editorials from biomedical engineers and other experts, as well as newly presented research papers from annually held ISMICS meetings.

UK BMJ to publish anesthesiology journal, Regional Anesthesia & Pain Medicine, from January 2019 - 06 Dec 2018

Healthcare knowledge provider BMJ will start publishing the monthly US journal Regional Anesthesia & Pain Medicine - a subspecialty journal in anesthesiology, with a specific focus on acute and chronic pain medicine - from January 2019. It is currently ranked 5th in the Anesthesiology category, with an Impact Factor of 4.382.

UK Hindawi’s two chemistry journals now indexed in Analytical Abstracts - 06 Dec 2018

Hindawi has announced that two of its journals, International Journal of Analytical Chemistry and the Journal of Analytical Methods in Chemistry, have now been indexed in Analytical Abstracts.

Analytical Abstracts is a specialised literature updating service from the Royal Society of Chemistry for staying up to date with advancements in the field of analytical chemistry.

Indexing articles from over 100 source journals, it contains almost 500,000 records on a wide range of topic areas including materials science, food analysis and environmental monitoring among others. Each searchable record consists of an article abstract alongside details of analyte, matrix and technique.

Hindawi ensures that the research they publish is discoverable. The indexing of these journals is a positive step forward, as it means that authors' research will be more widely visible and accessible to those in the field of analytical science.
