Academic publisher SAGE has signed a one-year agreement with the China Academic Library and Information System (CALIS) to provide electronic access to more than 450 journals from January 2008.
Under the deal, member and affiliated institutions of CALIS will be eligible to access SAGE Premier, one of the largest collections of social science titles, and a growing portfolio of highly ranked STM journals. Also, members will be able to access SAGE's recently launched backfile collection dating back to volume 1 issue 1 for about 298 journals. Both current and backfile content are available on the SAGE Journals Online platform (SJO), offering fast, user-friendly access to librarians and readers.
SAGE is a leading international publisher of journals, books and electronic media for academic, educational and professional markets. This agreement supports the company's aim to extend its reach within the Chinese research community.
