Australasian universities sign up for Maney online research journals collections -

Academic publisher Maney Publishing, UK, has announced an agreement with the consortium Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL). Under the deal, three major Australasian universities have signed up to Maney Online Research E-journal (MORE) collections for 2008.

The universities are: the Swinburne University of Technology, the Victoria University of Wellington and the Australian Catholic University. While the Swinburne University of Technology is taking the Materials Science and Engineering collection, the Victoria University of Wellington is taking the full electronic package. The Australian Catholic University is taking the Healthcare and History and Humanities collections.

The MORE collections offer instant online access to more than 70 titles. The Materials Science and Engineering collection comprises an additional 11 titles published by Multi-Science Publishing in the UK.

Established in 1965, CAUL works to improve access by the staff and students of Australian universities to the information resources that are fundamental to the advancement of teaching, learning and research. It seeks to ensure a common voice and representation for all university libraries, provide a forum for discussion and promote common interests. Its members include library directors whose parent institutions are full members of the Australian Vice-Chancellors' Committee.
