The Journal of the California Dental Association has reportedly converted to open access (OA), starting with the October 2007 issue. The journal will also offer OA to past issues back to 1998.
A monthly peer-reviewed scientific publication, the Journal of the California Dental Association keeps dentists up-to-date about scientific advances, business management strategies and new products. The journal features dental research, reviews of treatment techniques, practice-management information, professional guidelines and news.
The journal's circulation exceeds 21,000 and includes CDA member dentists, students, dental-hygiene and dental-assisting schools throughout the state, libraries at all California dental schools and subscribers worldwide.
