The International Journal of Technology Management (IJTM) has issued a call for papers for a special issue on Knowledge and Technology Management for Sustainable Development in Africa.
The special issue seeks to provide an overview of the significant role of knowledge management in achieving sustainable development (SD) in Africa. The issue will also provide an opportunity to discuss and clarify how universities can contribute to the generation of wealth in Africa through the transfer of finalised knowledge and the creation of new firms, new industries and business opportunities.
Guest editor Allam Ahmed, University of Sussex, expressly includes open access among the topics 'of particular interest' for the issue, but there is no tight limitation to the scope of coverage of the papers that will be considered. Titles and abstracts of submissions are due by November 15, 2007.
The IJTM aims to provide a refereed and authoritative source of information in the field of managing with technology, and the management of engineering, science and technology. It seeks to establish channels of communication between government departments, technology executives in industry, commerce and related business, and academic experts in the field.
