The Sixth International Encounter of Editors of Scientific Magazines was recently conducted at the Institute of Animal Science in Havana. Nearly 78 delegates participated in the event. The three-day meeting of scientific publishers, which concluded November 15, reviewed the situation of scientific editions in Cuba and other six nations.

During the discussions of the event, participants analysed topics such as the edition of scientific articles, the assessment of publishing work, the development and impact of publications and their assessment.

Dr. Ismael Clark, President of the Cuban Academy of Sciences, said at the inauguration that the event was another way to unite all the peoples of the region. He said that particularly applied to those that have joined the projects of the Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas (ALBA). ALBA is an international cooperation organisation based upon the idea of social, political and economic integration between Latin American and Caribbean nations.
