Brill to publish two new journals in 2008 -

Academic publisher Brill, Netherlands, has announced the forthcoming launch of two new journals - Terrestrial Arthropod Reviews and International Journal of Myriapodology - in 2008. Both the journals will accept submissions shortly via the Editorial Manager online submission and refereeing system.

Terrestrial Arthropod Reviews (TAR) will contain concise review articles on living and extinct insects, arachnids, and their relatives that use land during (a part of) their life history. The journal seeks to provide space for critical thinking and thought-provoking questions. It welcomes integrative reports on findings within a certain habitat or organism, but beyond the taxonomic description. The journal will also accept reports on species-species or species-environment interactions as well as biodiversity, conservation biology and the effect on habitats of ecological changes. Jorge Santiago-Blay will serve as Editor-in-Chief.

To be published jointly by Pensoft and Brill, the International Journal of Myriapodology is an international journal covering original research on Myriapoda as well as Onychophora which have traditionally been adopted by myriapodologists. While the journal's main scope is taxonomy, it will also include other disciplines like ecology, evolution, genetics, morphology, palaeontology, parasitology, phylogeny, physiology, and zoogeography. Henrik Enghoff will serve as the Editor-in-Chief of this journal.
