Information solutions provider Thomson Scientific, part of Thomson Corporation, US, has announced the winners of the 2007 Innovation Award. The award recognises leadership in technology as it relates to all aspects of scientific literature and patent publications in India.
The award, presented for the first time at the InfoVision 2007 conference in Mumbai, India, went to Natco Research Center for their achievements through patented technology as recorded in Thomson Scientific patent information services. In particular, Natco was determined to be the most efficient innovator by ranking the number of inventions per R&D spend.
Winners were selected from small and medium-sized enterprises headquartered in India and were chosen by analysing their innovation through patented technology as recorded in Thomson Scientific patent information services. Criteria for the award included the number of patents, the efficiency of innovation and the impact of innovation as measured by patent citations.
