Healthcare publisher Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW), part of Wolters Kluwer Health, US, has signed a five year agreement to continue as publisher for the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM). LWW and the SCCM launched the flagship journal Critical Care Medicine in 1973. In 2000, both parties expanded their offerings with the launch of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, published in partnership with the World Federation of Pediatric Intensive and Critical Care Societies.
Both these journals are dedicated to improving the care of the critically ill and injured. Critical Care Medicine covers all aspects of acute and emergency care for the critically ill, including the latest news on clinical breakthroughs and promising research. Over 14,000 members of the SCCM receive the journal in print or online.
Pediatric Critical Care Medicine is devoted exclusively to pediatric and neonatal intensive care medicine, and reaches over 2,000 subscribers worldwide. PCC has been adopted as an official journal of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, World Federation of Pediatric intensive and Critical Care Societies, the Paediatric Intensive Care Society, UK, the Latin American Society of Pediatric Intensive Care, and the Japanese Society of Pediatric Intensive and Critical Care.
