Wiley-Blackwell and AWHONN set to launch new women's health magazine -

Wiley-Blackwell, the STM and scholarly publishing business of John Wiley & Sons, Inc., US, and the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) have announced the March 2008 launch of a new women's health magazine, Health for Women.

A quarterly publication, Health for Women will be distributed at no charge to female patients by more than 3,000 nurses at private medical offices, women's health centers, corporate health and wellness centers, women's cancer and heart centers and specialty clinics throughout the US and Canada. The magazine also has both controlled circulation and subscription-based distribution channels. It will be available by subscription for $12 a year at its website www.Health4WomenOnline.com.

With Health for Women, AWHONN continues a successful legacy of providing evidence-based women's health magazines that nurses want to distribute and that consumers want to read. For the past six years, AWHONN was the driving content and distribution force behind the former Every Woman magazine, which was closed by its publisher in January 2007. During its publication, Every Woman won seven major health information awards, including 'Health Care Consumer Publication of the Year' in 2006.

Health for Women is packed with 'actionable' content women can act on immediately to promote their own health and that of their family and aging relatives. Nurses can sign up to receive bulk copies at no charge for their female patients at www.awhonn.org or www.Health4WomenOnline.com. Starting this spring, women who want to subscribe to Health for Women can do so at www.Health4WomenOnline.com.
