Wiley-Blackwell, the STM and scholarly publishing business of John Wiley & Sons, Inc., US, has signed an agreement with the Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE) for the production of online video publications. The purpose of the partnership is to integrate biological research video into the leading Wiley-Blackwell publication, Current Protocols.
Under the deal, Current Protocols will use its large database to identify research labs with the most advanced state-of-the art experimental approaches for filming and video publication produced by JoVE. During the first year of the collaborative work, the two companies plan to produce and publish 200 experimental videos online.
The Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE) is an online research journal employing visualisation to increase reproducibility and transparency in biological sciences. With this collaboration the journal seeks to provide comprehensive resource for this rapidly changing field.
