AccessPharmacy, an online content solution from McGraw-Hill, has been awarded the 'Award of Excellence' for Best Electronic Publication or Product from the Professional/Scholarly Publishing Division of the Association of American Publishers (AAP). The award was announced at the annual conference of the Professional/Scholarly Publishing Division of the AAP in Washington, DC.
The PSP Awards of Excellence, determined by a panel of publishers, librarians, and medical professionals since 1976, are given each year to the best in professional and scholarly publishing products for recognition of their commitment to pioneering works of research, and for contributing to the conception, production, and design of landmark works in their fields.
Launched in April 2007, AccessPharmacy was built on Silverchair's semantically driven web content delivery platform, Silverchair Content Manager. The site includes 22 pharmacy textbooks, 6,300 self-assessment questions, 150 case studies, and a 1,700-term glossary. The site's entire content set is mapped both to a core curriculum modeled after the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education guidelines and to an alternative curriculum organised by organ system. Also, it includes an integrated drug database, 15 calculators focused around dosing information, and other multimedia.
