Emerald Group Publishing launches new journal - China Agricultural Economic Review -

Academic and professional literature publisher Emerald Group Publishing Ltd., UK, has announced the launch of a new journal - China Agricultural Economic Review (CAER). In conjunction with the launch, the company has also initiated a best paper award at the end of each volume. The editorial committee will select the three best papers and award prizes of $3000 as first prize and $1000 each for second and third.

China Agricultural Economic Review seeks to provide a unique and insightful approach to documenting and disseminating qualitative and quantitative research into the economics of agriculture, natural resources and the environment and rural development. Integrating both qualitative and quantitative research, it will provide in-depth analysis of Chinese agricultural reform and practice; empirical studies on Chinese agricultural economy, rural society and development; comparative studies of agricultural and rural development experiences in China and other countries that derive implications relevant both for China and other countries, especially, some developing countries; and interviews and dialogues to reflect the development of agricultural economics by leading agricultural economists, government policy makers, and other influential personalities from both within China and internationally. Professor Xian Xin of the China Agricultural University will serve as editor of the journal.

Emerald has long been supportive of Chinese research and established a local presence in Beijing in the summer of 2007. It launched the Chinese Management Studies journal in 2007 and is adding the Journal of Chinese Economic and Foreign Trade Studies, Journal of Chinese Entrepreneurship and the Journal of Knowledge-based Innovation in China this year.
