Publisher Humana Press, acquired by Springer Science+Business Media, Germany, in September 2006, has announced the launch of its new website at www.springer.com/humana. The entire Humana Press catalogue, which has been integrated with the Springer portfolio, is now available on the new website.
Humana Press' new homepage includes featured titles on a monthly basis, a conference schedule link, and links to its three new free open access journals which will be launched later this year. 'The Protein Zone', also reached through a link, highlights recent publications related to proteins, and the 'Services for Authors,' feature offers tips on book promotion and other useful topics. A 'Select your subdiscipline' drop down menu features 32 areas of interest, and easy-to-navigate tabs include 'News and Highlights,' 'Electronic Products,' and 'Our Journal Collection.'
From the homepage, you can also click through to Springer Protocols (www.springerprotocols.com), a core subscription product published under the Humana Press imprint. Launched in January 2008, Springer Protocols is a unique research methods database that operates outside of the journal and book searching environment, and offers more than 18,000 searchable online protocols in life sciences and biomedicine. The website includes the Methods in Molecular Biology series, the Methods in Molecular Medicine series, the Neuromethods series and more.
