Academic and professional literature publisher Emerald Group Publishing Ltd, UK, has announced that two Italian universities - Università degli Studi di Udine and Università degli Studi di Verona - have joined Italy's largest university consortium, Consorzio Interuniversitario Lombardo per l'Elaborazione Automatica (CILEA). Since January 2008, these universities have had access to Emerald Management Xtra, the online collection of management journals.
CILEA signed a five-year agreement with Emerald in May 2007. This agreement provides access to Emerald's 1994-2006 archive and current content to a number of academic institutions, including the Università degli Studi di Trento (Trento), Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Milan), Università degli Studi di Salerno (Salerno) and Politecnico di Milano (Milan).
Under the Emerald/CILEA agreement any Italian institution, whether academic, public or private, can buy access to Emerald Management Xtra quickly, easily and at an agreed low membership price. The CILEA consortium is the third Southern European consortium to choose Emerald's services in the last two years.
