McGraw-Hill Professional, part of education materials publisher McGraw-Hill Education, has announced a new co-publishing agreement with the American College of Physicians (ACP). The McGraw-Hill/ACP alliance combines two of the world's leading authorities in medical literature. This partnership is expected to yield next generation resources for physicians and residents who are looking for hands-on practical and trusted information.
Under the deal, McGraw-Hill and ACP will produce a series of reference works focused on key clinical issues and procedures, with an emphasis on topics that are evolving rapidly. The series provides clinicians and residents with vital new tools for learning, reference, and clinical application. The first McGraw-Hill Professional/ACP title will be published this spring, and additional titles will follow later this year and into 2009. The series will be authored by top general internal medicine physicians, related subspecialists, and institutions with international reputations for excellence.
The American College of Physicians is one of the largest medical specialty organisation and the second-largest physician group in the US. ACP members include 125,000 internal medicine physicians (internists), related subspecialists, and medical students.
