US-based information research solutions provider Ovid Technologies, part of Wolters Kluwer Health, has announced the latest release of its industry-leading precision search and discovery platform, OvidSP. All OvidSP customers will now have access to the latest release.
Launched in October 2007, OvidSP streamlines the information search and discovery process for all types of users - from beginners to the more advanced. The platform incorporates Ovid's industry-leading precision search technology and robust mapping tools designed to deliver answers to important scholarly research questions faster, simpler, and more effectively for all types of users, from beginners to expert searchers.
New features and functionality implemented as part of the latest release include MARC Records. This feature allows users to download MARC records for all books and journals that their institution subscribes to on OvidSP. The new release also introduces the first round of Non-English Language Interfaces in support of user preferences to search in their local language. French-, Spanish-, and German-language interfaces are now available. Other important enhancements are focused on improving the user interface based on the workflow of the end-users.
