New English language editing service from Nature Publishing -

Scientific publisher Nature Publishing Group (NPG), UK, has announced the launch of a new English language editing service, Nature Publishing Group Language Editing (NPG Language Editing).

NPG Language Editing (languageediting.nature.com) is projected as a premium quality editing service for researchers preparing manuscripts for publication in international scientific or medical journals. In a 2007 survey of over 31,000 peer reviewers, 48 percent agreed that poor quality of English is a barrier to peer reviewing. The service has been launched to help researchers maximise their chances of publication by editing their manuscripts so that poor English is not a contributing factor to a decision to reject.

An experienced NPG editor quality checks every edited manuscript to ensure the service matches the standards of excellence synonymous with Nature Publishing Group. Manuscripts are edited for spelling, grammar, language usage and clarity by experienced editors working in an appropriate field. Competitively priced, NPG Language Editing offers rapid turnaround and quality assurance.

NPG has partnered with American Journal Experts to provide the NPG Language Editing service. The publisher identified a growing need for this service based on the increase in output of research from countries in Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe, and expects NPG Language Editing to have a worldwide customer base.

NPG Language Editing is wholly independent from the editorial process of any NPG journal or any other journal. NPG makes no guarantees that the use of this service will lead to publication.
