Nstein Technologies, Inc., a Canada-based provider of online publishing solutions for newspapers, magazines and online content providers, has announced a pact with media chain Independent News and Media (UK) Ltd. Under the deal, Independent News will deploy Nstein's Text Mining Engine (TME) solution to semantically tag and organise its library of media assets. TME is the foundation and a key component of Nstein's Digital Publishing Suite, which also includes a Web Content Management Solution (WCM), Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Picture Management Desk (PMD).
Independent News owns paper and radio stations across continents including the UK's The Independent and Northern Ireland's 137-year old Belfast Telegraph. The two papers represent a vast range of content on their respective websites, but readers have not begun to tap it. It is expected that with Nstein's TME, Independent News's news articles will be semantically analysed and automatically enriched with content tags, enabling better search engine optimisation and an enriched online readership experience with easier content discovery.
Nstein Technologies is the online provider of choice for many of the world's leading media companies, including Condé Nast, Reed Business Information, Transcontinental Media and ImpreMedia. Earlier this month, The Chronicle of Higher Education and The Chronicle of Philanthropy chose Nstein's WCM and TME to upgrade their entire editorial and web operations.
