LWW upgrades reference and training tool for nurses with enhanced features -

Healthcare publisher Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW), part of Wolters Kluwer Health, has announced that the latest version of its reference and training tool Nursing Procedures and Skills provides hospitals with over 200 additional pediatric procedures. It also offers upgraded search, editing and archiving capabilities. Nursing Procedures and Skills is an Internet-based, point-of-care tool that offers evidence-based clinical reference and training for nurses and support for hospitals seeking American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet accreditation.

The 200 new pediatric procedures, built and expanded from LWW's Bowden: Pediatric Nursing Procedures, are in addition to the existing base of over 580 nursing procedures currently offered in Nursing Procedures and Skills.

Developed by a team of expert nurses with extensive clinical experience, the resource seeks to offer a combination of features that help promote, monitor and maintain staff excellence. The more than 780 procedures and skills have been thoroughly reviewed by in-house Wolters Kluwer Health staff and independent reviewers to ensure that all content is in full compliance with nursing practice standards. Conformance to the guidelines of the Joint Commission, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and other respected nursing authorities is also ensured. Nearly 1,200 full-colour images and videos are seen to give nurses accurate, step-by-step guidance and show critical steps of procedures being performed. "Quick Lists" provide brief refreshers when time is critical.
