Publisher CIG Media Group, LP, US, a subsidiary of Medical Media Holdings, has announced the appointment of Dave Allen as Managing Editor for Clinical Oncology Journals. He will report to Jasper Simons, Director of Publications at CIG Media Group.
Allen most recently served as Director of Publications with the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR). In this role, he supervised the peer review, production, and business management of journals such as the Journal of Bone and Mineral Research, Primer on the Metabolic Bone Diseases and Disorders of Mineral Metabolism. In his new position, Allen will be expected to reduce time-to-publish for all CIG journals and expand relationships with key opinion leaders in the field.
Founded in 1996, CIG Media publishes peer-reviewed, tumour-specific medical oncology journals, all of which are indexed in PubMed. Each year, the company also publishes multiple tumour-specific journal supplements that provide oncology professionals with opportunities to earn American Medical Association-accredited continuing medical education credits.
