Thomson Reuters upgrades bibliographic management software EndNote for Windows -

The Scientific business of Thomson Reuters has announced a major upgrade to EndNote for Windows, its bibliographic management software catering to researchers, librarians and students. Latest additions include a full text locator for references, Smart Groups for instant reference sorting, and an expanded "Groups" panel to centralise collection and organisation activities. These are projected to help users save time.

EndNote X2 locates full text articles for references. The user simply selects one or more references, a group or an entire library, and EndNote scans online sources for available full text. Once found, EndNote downloads and attaches the article PDF file to the appropriate reference automatically, all while the user continues working. In addition, the software brings organisational and collection touch points together in the Groups panel, making these frequently used tasks easy to find and use.

Thomson Reuters seeks to combine industry expertise with innovative technology to deliver critical information to decision makers in the financial, legal, tax and accounting, scientific, healthcare and media markets.
