Infovell launches 'research' engine, adds content from more publishers -

Infovell, a US-based provider of Internet search services, has announced the general availability of its 'research engine for the Deep Web'. The search tool, using the company's KeyPhrase algorithm, is projected to reach the 99 percent of the Internet currently overlooked by conventional search engines. Infovell had earlier offered the research engine to pre-registered users alone.

The company also announced that it has reached agreements with several major publishers in the science and medical communities. It has added content to its index from a number of sources, including Annual Reviews, BioOne, Mary Ann Liebert, SAGE Publications and Life Sciences News.

Infovell goes directly to the source of science and medical articles, journals and information-rich databases. By partnering with the publishers that create and control access to this information, Infovell claims to be able to reach parts of the web that other search engines cannot reach. The tool is projected to offer users better information, greater ease of use, and faster finding of results.

A new section of reference sources includes all of Wikipedia, along with information from government and other public agencies. These include clinical evidence about medical efficacy and safety, clinical guidelines and price information. Interested individuals who have not yet signed up for Infovell can sign up for a 30-day trial at http://www.infovell.com.
