Data capture and enterprise search solutions Brainware, Inc., US, has announced that its context-based search technology is now available to millions of library visitors worldwide. The global deployment resulted from Brainware's OEM partnership with US-based library technology solutions provider SirsiDynix. Brainware is showcasing its search and intelligent data capture products at the forthcoming Oracle OpenWorld 2008 in San Francisco.
Brainware's research and development teams have worked closely with SirsiDynix since November 2007, to develop a solution that meets the search needs of libraries worldwide. The new product, Globalbrain, features Brainware's 'fuzzy' search, and faceted search, empowering information seekers to discover more content from more sources including libraries' own catalogues, subscription resources, digital collections, web content, and social networking data in upcoming releases of the Enterprise product. The new solution also supports queries in Chinese, Japanese and Korean, as well as in English and all European languages.
Through SirsiDynix, Globalbrain's technology will be available to more than 20,000 libraries in 70 countries.
