Academic and professional literature publisher Emerald Group Publishing Ltd., UK, has announced the appointment of Alastair Cook as business manager for Middle East and Turkey.
Alastair will be working alongside Brian Berry, who has represented Emerald for a number of years within the region, enabling him to meet existing and prospective customers. The establishment of a Dubai office will allow Emerald to further support customers within the region. Emerald now has regional business mangers in North and South America, India, China, Malaysia, Australia, Japan and Europe.
Alastair has previously worked within academic publishing and brings to Emerald over 17 years of experience having worked across various specialist areas including book commissioning, editorial, production, sales and sales management. He has previously worked for Elsevier Science, Wolters Kluwer Health and more recently Thomson-Reuters.
