An open conference session on recent milestones for the eBook market and adoption of the EPUB format standard in the US and EU book markets will be held at the forthcoming Frankfurt Book Fair. Representatives from the International Digital Publishing Forum, Random House UK, OverDrive, Inc., and Sony Reader will participate in the conference.
The session, presented as part of the Frankfurt Book Fair Digital Lunch programme, is entitled Digital Publishing and the EPUB Standard: Effects on Publishers, Channels and Devices. Presenters include Michael Smith, Executive Director, International Digital Publishing Forum; Steve Potash, CEO, OverDrive, Inc.; Fionnuala Duggan, Director, Random House Digital Group UK; and representation from Sony Reader.
