SpringerWienNewYork, ESPI launch book series, Studies in Space Policy -

SpringerWienNewYork, part of Springer Science + Business Media, Germany, and the European Space Policy Institute (ESPI) have announced the launch of a book series titled 'Studies in Space Policy'. The series is projected to be a platform for publishing academic research on space policy as well as on the issues related to trans-disciplinary aspects linked with economics, regulations and the humanities. It will comprise volumes prepared by ESPI itself with contributions from researchers in Europe and abroad.

The first volume of the new series, Humans in Outer Space - Interdisciplinary Odyseeys, is based on a conference ESPI organised together with the European Science Foundation in October 2007 in Vienna. The volume, slated for presentation on October 28, 2008 in Paris, will contain trans-disciplinary dialogues on the perspective of humans exploring outer space. Upcoming projects are a volume on space and sustainability and the Handbook on Space Policy.

The main publishing fields of SpringerWienNewYork are internal medicine, neurosurgery, neurology, psychiatry, psychotherapy, stomatology, ophthalmology, nursing, cell biology, architecture and art. Law publications are also an important part of its book and journal programme.
