Nanotechnology, published by IOP publishing, UK, has announced the appointment of Professor Mark Reed of Yale University, as the new Editor-in-Chief, effective January 2009. He succeeds Professor Mark Welland of Cambridge University, who has been the Editor-in-Chief of the journal since 2001.
Professor Reed has made significant contributions in the areas of quantum dots, electronic transport in nanoscale and mesoscopic systems, artificially structured materials and devices, and molecular electronics. He has been associated with the journal as an Editorial Board member for a number of years.
Nanotechnology has established a distinguished publication record and has become a leading journal covering all aspects of nanoscale science and technology, as well as specialising in in-depth, comprehensive articles not seen in letter format journals. Published weekly and featuring subject sections, the journal is multidisciplinary in nature. The journal offers free online access to all published papers for 30 days.
