Swets awarded new ISO 9001:2000 certificate -

Subscription services provider Swets, Netherlands, has announced that the company has been issued a new ISO 9001:2000 certificate. The new certificate has been awarded to all of Swets' operating offices worldwide based on intensive audits carried out by an independent certification body, Det Norske Veritas (DNV), earlier this year.

The ISO 9001:2000 certificate serves as a model for quality assurance. It is awarded to companies that can demonstrate their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable requirements, placing customer satisfaction as a key component of those requirements. It is a comprehensive quality management standard covering all main processes within a company, ranging from research and development to delivery and shipping, ensuring that these processes are not only conducted under controlled conditions, but are also subject to continuous improvement.

With clients in over 160 countries and more than twenty offices worldwide, Swets claims to be the only subscription services company that is ISO 9001:2000 certified on a global basis for 10 years now. The company has been included in E-Content Magazine's '100 Companies that Matter Most in the Digital Content Industry' for the past five years, and consistently features in the top 25 percent of FEM Business' 'Top 500 Companies in The Netherlands' list year after year.
