Web of Science records strong renewals despite tough economy -

The Healthcare and Science business of Thomson Reuters, US, has announced that, despite difficult economic times, renewals of Web of Science have remained strong, and many existing customers have even added new content to their portfolio of products.

Web of Science claims to be the world's largest citation database, providing researchers, administrators, faculty and students access to more than 11,000 actively covered, high impact journals and 110,000 conference proceedings, totaling 45 million documents and more than 1 billion cited references.

Web of Science backfiles have seen especially strong growth, combined with the new offering of Century of Social Sciences that delivers comprehensive backfile and cited reference data from 1900 to present. Recent sales include Ryerson University, Iowa State University, Wesleyan University and King Fahd University For Petroleum & Minerals in Saudi Arabia.
