Academic and professional literature publisher Emerald Group Publishing Ltd., UK, has announced that it is sponsoring the Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL) conference in Seattle, Washington, to be held March 12-15, 2009.
Emerald will be exhibiting its new eBook series collection at the event. These two collections both complement the focus of existing Emerald journals and extend it into new subject areas such as Psychology and Sociology. The Business, Management and Economics collection includes 65 series titles covering subjects like strategy, accounting and finance. The Social Sciences collection complements the current portfolio, with titles in sociology, education and psychology. In total, they represent over 500 volumes and feature leading international authors in each field covered.
The ACRL 14th National Conference, 'Pushing the Edge: Explore, Engage, Extend', offers an opportunity to meet with and influence the decision-makers in academic and research libraries. More than 3,000 registered librarians, 300 "exhibits-only" guests, and others will come together for three-and-a-half days of learning and networking.
