The Association of Canadian Publishers (ACP) has announced the appointment of Diana Barry to administer its new initiative Canadian Publishers Digital Services (CPDS). Barry will serve as Director of digital services, CPDS.
The CPDS seeks to provide digital services to ACP member publishers, as developed by the Digital Action committee and approved by ACP Council. Services fall into three broad categories - collective purchase of digital services, collective licensing of digital rights, and dissemination of market and technical intelligence.
In her new position, Barry will be responsible for seeking good deals on digital services for members, licensing large bodies of Canadian digital content, and informing members about new developments in technology and e-market opportunities.
