Open access publisher BioMed Central, UK, has announced the appointment of Dr Alan Storey as the new Editor-in-Chief of the journal Molecular Cancer. Dr Storey will succeed Dr Munger, who will continue his support for the journal as a member of the Editorial Board.
Dr Storey is the Head of HPV Apotosis and Cancer Group at the University of Oxford with much of his research being based on the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK, non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC).
Launched in 2002, Molecular Cancer aims to promote the exchange of ideas, concepts and findings in any area of cancer and related biomedical science. All articles published in the journal are archived in PubMed Central, the US National Library of Medicine's full-text repository of life science literature, and also at INIST in France and in e-Depot, the National Library of the Netherlands' digital archive of all electronic publications. The journal is also participating in the British Library's e-journals pilot project, and plans to deposit copies of all articles with the British Library.
