Educational publisher Jones and Bartlett Publishers, Inc. (J&B), US, recently announced a new partnership with the Paramedic Association of Canada (PAC) to publish a Canadian edition of Nancy Caroline's Emergency Care in the Streets.
Originally authored by Dr. Nancy Caroline and recently updated and reviewed by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), this text has been central to paramedic training since the 1970s. Now in its Sixth Edition, Emergency Care in the Streets continues to be a well known text for its unrivalled ability to speak directly to the paramedic through humor and wisdom. Already known as a leading training resource for paramedics in the US and UK, the text's reputation has reached Canada where it will be adapted by the PAC to meet the needs of the Canadian paramedic market.
The Paramedic Association of Canada is Canada's only EMS organisation of prehospital regulators. Currently comprising over 14,000 practitioners, the organisation promotes quality and professional patient care through working relationships among organisations with similar interests.
