Access to Brief Treatment & Crisis Intervention to be available through preservation services -

Oxford Journals, a division of Oxford University Press (OUP), UK, has announced that the journal Brief Treatment and Crisis Intervention, which has been discontinued, will be accessible through two preservation services - CLOCKSS and Portico.

Brief Treatment and Crisis Intervention ceased publication at the end of 2008. Archival content from volume 1, issue 1 (2001) to volume 8, issue 4 (2008) will be removed from the Oxford Journals online platform on June 1, 2009. Oxford Journals' preservation partners - CLOCKSS and Portico - will provide access to the title and take responsibility for its ongoing long-term preservation.

For libraries participating in one or both of these services, access to the journal will be available via the CLOCKSS and Portico websites. Access will remain available on the Oxford Journals online platform until June 1, 2009 in order to allow for a smooth transition period. Redirects will be set up from the Oxford Journals platform to these archives to further ease the transition for libraries and their users.

Oxford Journals joined Portico and CLOCKSS in 2006. Through these services, Oxford Journals and other publishers are working hand-in-hand with the library community to ensure their publications are digitally preserved and remain accessible over time.
