Scientific publisher World Scientific Publishing Company (WSPC), Singapore, and Chemical Industry Press will jointly launch Bioinspired Intelligent Nanostructured Interfacial Materials at the forthcoming Frankfurt Book Fair. Written by Lei Jiang from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Lin Feng from Tsinghua University and a Visiting Scholar at UC Berkeley, the publication provides an introduction to natural and artificial micro/nanoscale interfacial materials, devoting attention to intelligent materials with special ‘wettabilities’ which refers to the extent which such materials are able to absorb moisture.
Originally written in Mandarin Chinese, the book is penned in an easy-to-understand manner. It emphasises the importance of learning from and mimicking nature to acquire inspiration in the field of developing intelligent materials. It is also printed in full colour with more than 200 figures and illustrations.
World Scientific Publishing publishes about 500 books annually and more than 120 journals in various fields. It collaborates with prestigious organisations like the Nobel Foundation, US National Academies Press and its subsidiary, Imperial College Press amongst others, to bring high quality academic and professional content to researchers and academics worldwide.
