Global education provider Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, US, has announced the appointment of James O’Neill as Senior Vice President of Portfolio Management. In his new position, James will oversee the efforts of the Portfolio Management group. He will report directly to Mike Lavelle, K–12 President, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
Prior to this, James served as Vice President, Product Development at National Geographic School Publishing from 2008 through 2009, where he led product development efforts for the Secondary Education Publishing Center. He previously worked for McDougal Littell from 2005 to 2007 as Marketing Director for Social Studies, overseeing all aspects of product line marketing with an emphasis on new product development, new markets, and strategic growth of the market-leading product line.
