Library automation solutions provider SirsiDynix, US, has announced the appointment of Ranny Lacanienta as the company’s director of product management. In his new role, Lacanienta will oversee the company’s integrated library system (ILS) product strategy.
As a native of the library industry, Lacanienta brings more than 20 years’ experience at the Brigham Young University Harold B. Lee Library to SirsiDynix. He has been an active contributor to the library community and the SirsiDynix community since the BYU Library selected SirsiDynix for its ILS technology in 1998. With his background in computers and extensive experience in libraries, Lacanienta has produced a number of innovations that assist libraries in their day-to-day operations, making processes seamless and more efficient.
Lacanienta has been active as a presenter and innovator in the industry and served as an executive board member of the Utah Library Association for a number of years.
