The Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP) has named ProQuest Dialog, the search service specially designed for professional research, as the winner of its 12th annual AIIP Technology Award.
The award recognises innovative products that enhance the working environment of the independent information professional and was presented at the Internet Librarian Conference in Monterey, CA. ProQuest Dialog is a service of Dialog, a business unit of ProQuest.

Its design is based on more than 24 months of research and testing - with multiple roles across organisations, from professional searchers to corporate end-users. Among its advanced search features are automatic text translation of search results, left-hand truncation, iterative filtering and date histograms.
