MarkLogic summit to address leveraging unstructured information to create new business opportunities -

Information infrastructure software provider Mark Logic Corporation, US, has announced the first annual UK Summit focused on addressing the unstructured information challenge. The conference will take place at the British Academy of Film & Television Arts at 195 Piccadilly.

UK businesses, analysts and industry experts will meet in London on March 17, 2011, to discuss how organisations can fully exploit the 80 percent of data that is classified as unstructured information. This includes pictures, video, research data, social media posts, tweets and documents used every day to communicate.

Among the speakers who will address the challenges and opportunities of unstructured data are Nick Patience, research director of information management, The 451 Group; Simon Thomson, managing director, Dods Parliamentary Publishing; Rupert Brown, principal architect, Bank of America/Merrill Lynch (BAML); and Chris Biow, Federal CTO, MarkLogic.
