BMJ Group appoints Joyce-Rachel John as North American publisher -

Publisher BMJ Group, UK, has announced that the company has appointed a fourth publisher to help drive forward its specialist journal acquisition and international publishing services programmes in the US. The move signals the Group's commitment to its North American publishing business and its determination to capitalise on its reputation for innovation and service.

Joyce-Rachel John, who recently took up the newly created post of North American publisher, has a strong record in new business development and extensive experience in journals management and medical publishing. She joins the Group from Nature Publishing Group, where she was responsible for handling a wide ranging portfolio of society journals.

Rachel will be based in New York. She joins three other UK based publishers - Janet O'Flaherty, Julie Solomon, and Christiane Notarmarco - who are responsible for the specialist titles in the Group's BMJ Journals stable.
