Incisive Media, UK, organiser of Online Information 2011, has announced the full free seminar programme scheduled to take place at this year's event. The programme is projected as being comprehensive, boasting major industry figures while addressing the most burning issues currently facing the industry including those that are likely to influence the future for information professionals. Keynote sessions will explore developments in China, the impact of Google, content management trends, social media marketing for business development and digital publishing.
The seminars will take place across four seminar theatres on the exhibition floor, offering nearly 100 free educational sessions on a first-come, first served basis. These presentations will encompass: library management, e-publishing, content management, enterprise search, social media, STM information, global business information, legal information and information master classes.
Keynotes on day 1 will offer insight into a range of issues. Marydee Ojala, Editor of ONLINE Magazine, USA, asks what emerging issues in online information are likely to influence the future for information professionals while looking at online trending in her Information Master Class Keynote. Meanwhile, Bob Stembridge, Customer Relations Manager at Thomson Reuters, will present a keynote session on tracking future developments in China. The latest trends and techniques in Social Media and SEO is the topic of the keynote presented by Judith Lewis, Head of Search at Beyond. In the ePublishing Solutions Theatre, Kate Worlock, Director/ Lead Analyst Education & Social Media at Outsell, looks at sizing the global information industry and aims at pinpointing key growth sectors in her keynote session.
On day 2, the Information Master class keynote presented by Karen Blakeman, Trainer and Consultant at RBA Information Services, is entitled 'Beating Google into submission', looking at look at how personalisation, white lists, localisation and semantic search are affecting your results and what you can do about it. Arthur Weiss, Managing Director at AWARE UK, will also present 10 top tips for using the web to support competitive intelligence primary research in the Business Information Theatre. The Enterprise Search Keynote also on day 2 by Theresa Regli, Principal, Real Story Group, looks at search and content management trends for 2012 and beyond.
Day 3 commences with a keynote by Phil Bradley, a freelance Internet consultant. He will look at Google and its impact on librarians in his keynote session in the Information Master Classes stream. "Email in the cloud?" and "Balancing short-term budgets with long-term collaboration strategy" are two topics discussed in the keynote Content Management session of Angela Ashenden, Principal Analyst, Collaboration at MWD Advisors UK. Social Media and Marketing sessions on that day begin with a keynote by Joanne Jacobs, expert in social media technologies at Joanne Jacobs Consulting, where she will discuss social media marketing for business process improvement. The day 3 keynote in the ePublishing Solutions Theatre by David Penfold, Senior Lecturer at London College of Communication and University of the Arts London, will focus on “Structured documents: the basis of digital publishing today during his keynote session”.
The Online Information Exhibition attracts thousands of people from all over the globe and boasting more than 150 international exhibitors. An extensive free educational seminar programme will be situated within the exhibition in a new hall at Olympia, The National Hall, along with show floor features designed to centre on key sectors.
