AIP Publishing, a division of the American Institute of Physics (AIP), has announced the launch of AIP Advances, an open access journal focusing on applied research in the physical sciences.
AIP Advances seeks to provide researchers a new way to rapidly and effectively bring their work to the attention of the global physical sciences community. All articles are published under the Creative Commons license. Authors of accepted manuscripts pay a processing fee so their work is freely available worldwide immediately upon publication.
Accelerated peer review, overseen by a leading international team of Executive and Associate Editors, ensures rapid publication. The significance of each article is complemented through post-publication evaluation by the entire applied physical sciences community.
To celebrate the launch, AIP Publishing is offering free publication to the first 100 authors whose articles are accepted.
