Academic and professional literature publisher Emerald Group Publishing Ltd., UK, has announced the appointment of Valeria Garcia as Vice President: Latin America. In her new position, Garcia will focus on strengthening Emerald’s sales support to new and existing customers in the region, as well as developing regional specific content and partner strategies.
Garcia brings a wealth of experience to the position, previously working in Latin American Markets and publishing in general, with roles at Dot Lib, a significant agent in Latin America, and as a Development Manager at Elsevier.
As a further development in the region, Tutilla Aragao, Emerald’s Relationship Manager for CAPES, will extend her responsibilities across all consortia in Central and Latin America, enabling Emerald to develop closer relationships with libraries throughout the region.
