Research software developer QSR International, US, has announced that publishing company iD8 Publishing Services, Inc., US, has opted for the NVivo 8 to speed up the process for classifying, sorting and analysing peer reviews and competitive information. iD8 Publishing Services specialises in scientific, health and medical publishing.
Developed by QSR International, NVivo 8 allows publishers to explore and analyse qualitative information in a range of formats, including documents, video and audio recordings. It helps publishers to carry out in-depth analysis on large volumes of data, removing the manual tasks associated with analysis, such as classifying, sorting and arranging information.
Utilising the NVivo 8’s coding, query and mapping functions, iD8 has developed an online service for clients, providing them with customised, targeted reports that give authors better editorial guidance and competitive insight. iD8 has already used the service for one of its largest clients, Pearson Education. The service is believed to be the only one of its kind in the publishing industry.
