Teaching, learning and research solutions provider Cengage Learning, US, has announced the appointment of Cindy Cook as Chief Marketing Officer of the company's Academic and Professional Group. Cindy will join the company on April 5, 2010.
In her new position, Cindy will be responsible for accelerating company growth and digital transformation through aggressive marketing of the company's products, services and solutions. She has a strong background in digital media and more than 20 years of expertise in global consumer products, including significant marketing leadership roles.
Cindy most recently served as Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer at Vivendi Games, creator of some of the industry's largest and most profitable games, where she ran marketing operations and was directly accountable for the mobile and casual games divisions. She also drove strategy and was part of the senior management team that led a successful merger with Activision to create the world's largest videogame publisher, Activision Blizzard.
