The editors of the journal Anesthesia & Analgesia have reportedly announced the launch of their new Anesthesia & Analgesia for the iPad app. The journal is the official journal of the International Anesthesia Research Society (IARS).
The new electronic edition brings the entire contents of each issue to the iPad, with the addition of unique new enhancements and interactive features. Anesthesia & Analgesia for the iPad is available free of charge for a limited time - including free access to full-text articles - at the iTunes App Store.
Anesthesia & Analgesia for the iPad uses optimised digital technology to provide a print-like reading experience. Navigation is fast and intuitive, allowing readers to easily switch between scanning rapidly and reading in depth. Along with full-text downloads of each weekly issue, the new app offers special enhanced features, including easy-to-read full-text articles that you can share via email or social media; adjustable text sizing with 'pinch and zoom'; engaging multimedia videos and images; ability to store or delete downloaded issues; speedy issue-browsing capability via Quick View; quick scrolling through abstract summaries; convenient notification when a new issue is available; and link to Anesthesia & Analgesia online to view supplemental material.
The app was developed by and is being distributed by the IARS's publishing partner, Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, a part of Wolters Kluwer Health.
Anesthesia & Analgesia for the iPad is available now, offering free full content to all readers for a limited time. After this introductory period, the App will be available exclusively to IARS members and they will continue to have full access via a simple login process. Each monthly issue will be posted on the same schedule as the current online and print editions.
