STM publisher Elsevier, Netherlands, has announced the appointment of Prof. Maurice Courbage (Université Denis Diderot - Paris 7) and Prof. Paolo Grigolini (University of North Texas, USA) as the new Co-Editors-in-Chief for the journal Chaos, Solitons & Fractals.
Prof. Courbage works in the Theory of Complex Systems research group of the Université Denis Diderot - Paris 7. His research interests include nonlinear science and complexity, including quantum and classical statistical mechanics, neurodynamics, ergodic theory and cellular automata. Prof. Grigolini is a member of the Center for Nonlinear Science at the University of Texas where he works on quantum mechanics, statistical physics, complex networks and biological systems, in particular the complexity in neurophysiological processes.
In addition to the two new co-Editors-in-Chief, Chaos, Solitons & Fractals has refined its Aims & Scope, which now center on the interdisciplinary theme of complexity. The journal has also undergone some changes in the editorial structure. Regular articles, letters and reviews, as well as ‘Frontiers’ papers, up-to-date overviews of a particular field, will be the main article types throughout the journal. The journal also has a new look, including the cover and will be published in two column formatting.
Submissions will be accepted shortly at http://ees.elsevier.com/chaos/.
