Wiley-Blackwell to host publishing seminar at the 10th World Congress of the Econometric Society -

Wiley-Blackwell, the STM and scholarly business of John Wiley & Sons, Inc., US, will host a seminar on 'Opportunities for Publishing in International Journals in Economics: A Guide for Scholars on How to Get Work Published' at this year's 10th World Congress of the Econometric Society (ESWC).

The Congress will take place in Shanghai from August 17- 21, 2010. The publisher will offer complimentary access to this seminar, which will take place on August 18, in the Pearl Hall, Shanghai International Convention Centre (SHICC), for all delegates.

The seminar will feature prominent speakers working within the field of economics. These include Xiaoming Feng, Managing Editor, China & World Economy, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Professor M. Hashem Pesaran, Editor, Journal of Applied Econometrics; Professor Fabrizio Zilibotti, General Editor, the Journal of the European Economic Association; and Professor Orazio Attanasio, University College London, Managing Editor, Quantitative Economics. Topics to be presented and discussed within the seminar include opportunities for publishing in international journals in economics, how to get published and how to formulate an article, publishing standards and criteria, the value of publishing for the career of academic economists, new publishing models for economics, and open access publishing.
